Art to me is like the inner most reflection of a persons' soul.  Whether it be
crazy, comical, intellectual, or racy, art is the release of some of the deepest
parts of the artist.  For myself, art is my interpretation of a feeling more so
than the reproduction of an image.  Music also plays a large role in my
paintings.  If the music is fast and upbeat, so are the brush strokes, if the
music is slow and comforting, the details are more fine in a painting.

I prefer to paint my subjects in large proportions where they tend to dominate
the foreground of my painting.  This is done mainly so there is no mistaking
what it is I want you to see in my work.  For the most part, I work in small
series' when painting.  Sometimes it takes three or four paintings to truly
show the style in which I am working.

Born and raised in a small south Texas town, there was no doubt that I would
become an artist.  I was drawing from the first time I was given a "Big Chief"
tablet and a pencil, recreating comic book heroes and making little men out
of play-doh.  Later studying painting and drawing at the local Jr. College, I
was top in my class.  I've owned a retail gift store, a metal art studio, and
lived through a seizure condition.  I've been run over by a train and lived to tell
about it.  (Don't get run over by a train).  I was also a member of the Victoria,
TX Art League until I moved to Kansas City, MO where I now reside.
